Black that absorbs. Vertical form.

Stacked horizontal ridges running the full height of a narrow column. The proportion holds at every scale — roughly one to three.

Each ridge throws a line of shadow onto the one below it. Read top to bottom, those lines make a single continuous edge down the wall.

The matte black takes in almost all direct light. Under side light the ridges separate. Straight on, the column reads as one mass.

Hand-sculpted in plaster using a fiber-reinforced composite system.
Mineral black pigment. Matte sealed finish.

Each piece individually worked.
No two identical.

Depth 4".
French cleat system. One half fitted to the work, the other
mounts to your wall. Sized to the piece.
